The Injured Bird that May Change My Life

According to The Law of One, there are seven densities of existence. Humans are in third density. Animals are second-density creatures, and plants, rocks, and other parts of nature are first density.

That doesn’t mean that animals and plants are lower or inferior to humans. Based on the way humans behave and try to destroy themselves, it’s reasonable to surmise that second-density beings are superior in many ways. I am convinced they are here to help and serve third-density beings. In so doing, they lift themselves up and hopefully graduate to third-density.

Yesterday, Peggy and our friend Catherine were walking around the neighborhood when they came upon this yellow-bellied sapsucker walking along the sidewalk with an injured wing. They called me and I brought a box. We were able to scoop it up and take it home until Annette from Chicago Bird Collision Monitors came to fetch it and take it to their bird rescue facility in the suburbs.

Thousands of birds smack into windows and are injured in other ways in cities like Chicago. The Bird Monitors group sends volunteers downtown to walk among the skyscrapers in the early morning. They scoop up the live birds (many injured) and rescue them. The dead ones are taken to the Field Museum for study. Turns out they need volunteers and have an orientation meeting this Tuesday. We’ll be there. It’s possible this bird was put in our path to give us this opportunity to enrich our lives. I’ll keep you posted on what turns up.
