Immersion in the Spirome

In Florida last week, we were surrounded by a new microbiome of plants had never touched and air we had never breathed. And by a new Spirome as well.

The Spirome is the spiritual world that surrounds us and that we can perceive and connect with only by being receptive and opening all our senses—-not just the first five senses, but our intuition, the magnetic compass within us, and the energy centers that link us to the earth and the heavens.

The Spirome in Florida was a relaxed, warm feeling in the people (most people; not all, but most) brought out not just by the absence of cold and hostile weather but by the abundant flora and fauna. The mangroves, the palms, the very bushes are homes for birds and other forms of nature.

Birds were the gateway through which we plugged into the Spirome. You may have a different gateway. Yours may be sports, or food, or sitting on the beach and swimming. For us, birds were the delight, the color, the sentinels greeting and watching over us. I think of the brown pelicans that swam up to us in the Everglades, of the osprey gazing down at us as we walked through Bayview Park just before going home, of the owls at the rescue center listening to our conversations. You are always aware you are part of something greater when you have obvious signals pointing to it.

Back home, watching the snow, there are no flowers, no birds, only bare trees. You cannot look with your eyes. But feel with your heart, and look ahead just a few weeks with your intuition, and it is all there, it will come back to you. You are not alone, you can always be revived and made whole once again, no matter where you are. It’s just easier in the warmth surrounded by nature.
